Tropic Thunder – Still Great

It's been 12 years since Tropic Thunder first came out and amazingly it still holds up. This film reminds us of when satire was done right in film. Ben Stiller did a really great job putting this film together that not only did a great job in 2008 of poking fun at Hollywood but is still (sadly) relevant to today.

What really makes this film work is the cast. Each cast member is playing a part of themselves (or their costars) at some point in their careers. Add in some great performances by Tom Cruise and Matthew McConaughey and it's damn near perfect. If you haven't seen this movie yet it's a perfect time to head over to Amazon Prime and check it out.
