Spoiler Review: The Villainess is Amazing Cinematography

On our Dredd rewatch, Ro recommended Kriss watch 'The Villainess', a 2017 Korean film. Given her previous track record on misleading Kriss into watching something not his cup of tea in order to get a better on-podcast-reaction, Kriss was a bit skeptical. But, this time Ro didn't steer Kriss wrong. The First-Person-Shooter, gloriously bloody first 10 minutes of The Villainess let you know this is something special. Cinematographer Jung-hun Park puts together some amazing scenes and shots that will leave you wondering "How the hell did they shoot that?" Check out this 2017 article on the amazing motorcycle fight scene.
Outside of the action, the story isn't that bad either. But be warned, the story is "convoluted" in that its not as linear and easy to follow (and don't hold your hand) like most American films. The Villainess expects the audience to put things together themselves and not have to be told every plot point directly. If that's not your cup of tea, the film is still worth checking out just for the amazing fights and great cinematography.
