Teen Titans Go: Robin’s Fear of Spice, Lady Legasus, Pyramid Schemes & More
Teen Titans Go is in it’s 4th season and despite the ever-present rumblings of fans who miss the original show, it’s not only still going on strong, it’s as funny as ever. What makes Teen Titans Go such a fun show is that there’s something for everyone. Sure, kids watching Cartoon Network will laugh at the silly adventures of Robin, Raven, Starfire, Cyborg and Beast Boy, but for eagle-eyed older viewers, there’s always more adult issues and commentary thrown in. Take episode 30 in season 3 when Robin teaches the other Titans how to build “passive income” through rental property. It’s one of the most concise and honest rundowns on buying property (and its still funny). It’s a financial lesson that should be taught in school and yet Teen Titans Go does it in 15 minutes.
And there are plenty of episodes like that. Like when Beast Boy gets all the other Titans involved in a Pyramid Scheme. Or when they have a pretty hilarious (yet real) episode on Capitalism. And there’s plenty more. The show recently wrapped up a 4 part, hour long series that followed up the great Night Begins to Shine episode from season 3 (episode 10 40% 40% 20%).
At San Diego Comic-Con we got to talk to the voices of Beast Boy (Greg Cipes), Robin (Scott Menville) and Raven (Tara Strong). Check it out.
