Fits right in with the Ocean's franchise while also standing on it's own and giving the ladies a chance to shine.

Kriss and Phenom review Ocean's 8, a spin-off film in the Ocean's 11/12/13 franchise. Sandra Bullock plays Debbie Ocean, Danny Ocean's sister, who is fresh out of jail with a scheme to pull off a huge heist. Debbie, along with her best friend Lou (Cate Blanchett) put together a team of ladies to help pull of the job at the Met Gala.

This film manages to pull of the same feel of Ocean's Eleven with the multi-layered heist, ulterior motives and inevitable road blocks, while still having it's own distinct feel and vibe. The film pays homage while not burdening the characters with "filling the shoes of men". It's a fun film that's going to leave audiences wanting more films.
