Sure, there's some editing issues and some storylines that probably could have been skipped. But the last 30 minutes of this film are so great and the acknowledgement of why the purge was a bad idea from the jump make this film satisfying

Kriss is joined by Tim (@Peoplescrtic) to review the latest Purge film, The First Purge. This film is a prequel that shows how the Purge came about. Full disclosure, we're huge fans of this series as it's a lot more than the trailers have made it out to be. The First Purge drops the act and comes right out and reveals what we've always known: The Purge was about the government manipulating citizens in order to wipe out poor black and brown people. With the last two movies The Purge franchise has turned into a black survival horror series and it's been great.

We break down this film and the entire series and why we love it so much.
