I don’t know if I’m the only one who isn’t like what they are doing to Captain Cold. Love the character. Love the actor. However he’s supposed to be a villain that has his own moral code. And he’s doing the right thing for the team waaaay to much for me to ever look at him as a possible flash villain again which I don’t like.

I think you have to look at this in context. Snart is still stealing things and he’s still in it for himself. But the mission is still to save the world. I think he might be acting different if his sister was with him but since she’s not, we know he has motivation for completely this mission. It’s a stark contrast from Mick who really just wants to see the world burn. That’s why Snart was cool with the detour in Star City 2046 but quickly realized its not the type of world he would like. He’s about order and that world was chaos. I think we’re seeing him struggle with the fact that he’s “just a criminal” but remember what Barry said to him when he was in jail, that he saw that Snart could be more.

I don’t think it means he can’t go back to being a villain, he definitely can. But for LoT there’s other factors at play that are going to cause someone like Snart to side with the team over just being a villain.
