Insidious The Last Key Review – Just Another Lazy Horror Film Cash Grab

Cheap predictable "scares", weak and all-over-the-place story. This is just another horror film sequel/prequel that should never have been made

Insidious The Last Key is just another lazy horror film cash grab by the studios. The fourth of the Insidious movies feels like several movies crammed into one. It's as if they had several ideas for where the film would go but couldn't settle on one. So instead, they just went for them all. The result is a mess. There's also a weird tone issue with the characters Tucker & Specs cracking jokes at the weirdest moments and feeling completely out of place. This is definitely a film that can be avoided but will sadly make enough money to continue the franchise.

Parapsychologist Dr. Elise Rainier (Lin Shaye) faces her most fearsome and personal haunting yet - in her own family home. The film also stars Kirk Acevado as Ted Garza, Leigh Whannell as Specs (also writer for the film), Angus Sampson as Tucker, Caitlin Gerard as Imogen and Javier Botet as Keyface.
