The History of Black Panther – Essential Comic Books for T’Challa & Wakanda’s History
It's almost that time! Marvel's Black Panther opens this week and I know we're all excited. Now we've already covered the King of Wakanda in a hour+ long Character Corner. But I figured it was time for a quick refresher. So I've done a shortened version (still came out to about 25 minutes) and cover some of the key issues and moments through the long history of T'Challa and Wakanda. This is a character that's been around since July 1966 and even pre-dates the founding of the Black Panther Party.
This video breaks down the long history of the first mainstream African/African-American super hero, from Stan Lee & Jack Kirby to today and Ta Nehisi Coates and more.
