Hanna Season 2 – Don’t Mess with Marissa Wiegler

Share:

As promised, Kriss and Ro are back to review season 2 of Hanna. Season 2 really not only builds on the first season but really gives us the story we were looking for. It really feels like the first season, while good, was really just to set the stage for the story that really needed to be told. It expands the characters of Eric and Marissa (and even Hanna) and makes them full fledged characters that really help define season 2. First off, Marissa Wiegler is handled so much better in Hanna the show than Hanna the movie. And what season 2 does with Wiegler almost makes you forget she burned a bunch of infants alive (almost).

We finally get more information on what Utrax was really doing, how they genetically modified Hanna and the others and what the purpose is. This season really focuses on the women of the show and what it means to be family and how seeking to belong and love can make people vulnerable to manipulation.

Ro and Kriss discuss what they really enjoyed about this season, what they wish they had gotten more of and what they're looking forward to seeing in season 3.
