So NYCC 2014 is officially in the books.  It's strange, I get so many press obligations during the Con itself, I sometimes get news just like everyone else because I usually have to miss the panels where surprise reveals are made (Thank God I saw the Ant-Man and Age of Ultron footage at San Diego or I would be pissed I missed it at NYCC).  Such is the case with the first look at Marvel's Daredevil Netflix series starring Charlie Cox.  I actually tried to get into the panel but since I never initially planned to go, the wristbands to get in were long gone by the time I made my decision.  But no matter, the images were at least officially released by Marvel soon after.

I have to say, I like what I see.  I remember some folks freaking out about the all black ninja look but it's clearly an early suit and they're taking from Frank Miller's Daredevil: Man without Fear run.   Marvel has confirmed there will be multiple suits and to be honest, I never doubted them.  I would love to see yellow suit in addition to the classic red.  I know folks who aren't aware of where this first suit comes from might be nervous but for me it gives me hope.  If they're willing to go to give us something like this straight from the comics, I can only imagine what the final suit is going to look like and it gets me pumped.  I wish I could have seen the footage but I trust Marvel Studios with this.  I think their Netflix shows are going to be the next step forward for the genre and I can't wait to see what they do with them.
