The Disaster Artist Review – James Franco Explores the Inner Workings of Tommy Wiseau’s The Room

I will be honest and didn't realize that Tommy Wiseau's The Room had a cult following like it does. I mean I should have, but I tend to forget truly terrible movies like The Room. But I quickly found out that The Room is a pretty big deal to some as our screener for The Disaster Artist, was packed. The Disaster Artist is basically James Franco and his friends recreating The Room and telling the story about how Wiseau and his friend Greg made one of the worst movies to exist.

There's something weirdly ironic about the film about a bad film being a great film. But that's where we are. James Franco actually shows a lot of acting chops to pull off how terrible and confusing Wiseau is. This is a hilariously good movie about the worst film ever made.

Listen as I'm joined by Tim to talk about what made this film work.

It actually takes skills to act in a way that mimics just how terrible at acting Tommy Wiseau was.
