Crisis on Infinite Earths: Worlds Will Live, Worlds Will Die

Hello my old friends...we're finally back with a new Comic Book Book Club. 2019 was a bit hectic and this was one of the premium shows that took a hit. But we're trying to do better in 2020 (New Year New Us) and we're kicking off a new year by taking a look at the 12-issue Crisis on Infinite Earths by Marv Wolfman and George Perez. With the live action version of this massive DC crossover wrapping up on CW in a couple of weeks, we figured it would be a good time to take a trip back to look at the series that changed the DC comic landscape.
Some of the things we discuss:
- The surprising key characters that were centered in the series
- The lack of Batman as a key figure in the story
- Supergirl's sacrifice
- Elevating Barry Allen and the Flash family and their importance in the DC universe
- The lasting effects of Crisis (both good and bad) for DC as a whole and why it would be tough for Crisis on Infinite Earths to be released today
If you're a premium member, give the episode a listen and let us know what you think. We're also happy to announce that in 2020 we will be covering Tom King's entire Batman run on future Comic Book Book Club episodes so if you're not a premium member, go sign up now.

Where’s the audio??
You have to be a premium member to listen to the audio
I’m a premium member and I’m not seeing it. It seems like a lot of the CBBCs are just pages with descriptions and no audio
Whoops nvm
