You might have heard Kriss & Dpalm discuss this series as part of their larger Magneto Character Corner, but now let's revisit Cullen Bunn's Magneto series as a Comic Book Book Club. Magneto has always been a villain you could sympathize with and this series runs with that. Bunn takes a vulnerable Magneto and dives into what makes him tick. This series drives home that the character's main goal has always been the protection and survival of his people, mutants. We see Erik (I refuse to call him Max) at his most vulnerable: weakened powers, now family and being hunted by SHIELD. We get a better understanding of his motivations and what haunts him.
