It's fun (OH NO ITS FUN) and is a much needed change of pace from the seriousness of the last two MCU films. Evangeline Lilly is the star everyone knew she would be.

Ant-Man and the Wasp comes at just the right time. Marvel Studios' last two films have been pretty serious (Black Panther and Infinity War), with the latter killing off (for the time being) a lot of fan favorites. So taking a break from that with Scott Lang and Hope van Dyne is just what the doctor ordered. Evangeline Lilly finally gets to put on the suit as Wasp and she shines. The film has all the humor of the original, a little more carefree and answers what Scott and the crew has been up to since Civil War (and even where he was during Infinity War). It's the perfect escape from everything going on right now.
